WORKSHOP BONUSES
You came to learn effective hands-on assists, and you will leave with much more. Naturally embedded in this workshop is a world of positive experiences that will benefit you on and off the mat.
Anatomy education. Practicing meaningful assists also means we understand how the body moves. As you hone your assisting skills, get a refresh on the function of the hips in twists, the movement of the spine in backbends, the movement of the pelvis in folds, the movement of the shoulders in inversions, and more.
Alignment refinement. Part of effective assisting means we also understand the purpose of the pose including healthy alignment across all-levels. Get a refresh on the engagement of the legs in forward folds, placements of the feet in standing poses, positioning of the shoulders in Downward Dog, and more.
Teaching cues. Hands-on assists are non-verbal cues. As you improve your non-verbal cues, you’ll understand how to be more effective with your verbal cues. As we discuss the hands-on assist, you’ll have some “ah-ha!” moments about how to better teach the pose in your group classes.
Community connection. Your learning in this workshop is not coming from just the teacher leading the workshop. Those attending this workshop are like you - yoga and fitness leaders who are improving their passion. You will learn from each other and grow together. Because this is an in-person CEU workshop, you will also meet and re-connect with others within a 2-hour or more radius.
